Named in honour of Nelson Mandela, the 284-metre long bridge is the largest cable-stayed bridge in South Africa and links two significant business districts. The Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, Johannesburg in South Africa is a public space named after Mary "Pickhandle" Fitzgerald, who is considered to have been the first female trade unionist in the country.
- Gandhi Square is a plaza located in the Central Business District of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is named after the political activist and pacifist, Mahatma Gandhi.
- We get out in downtown Johannesburg and take a lift up to the top of the impressive Carlton Centre. The 50-storey, 223-metre tall skyscraper and shopping centre is the second- tallest building in Africa. From the ‘Top of Africa’, you have a panoramic view of the city of Johannesburg and the northern suburbs.
