ITINERARY
- The drive-guide will pick you up from your provided location
- Your driver-guide will take you to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful and somber site that honors the victims of the 1994 genocide. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it serves as a place of remembrance, education, and reflection on Rwanda’s history. Entry is free, but for a deeper understanding, an audio guide is available for $20—an insightful addition that also helps support the memorial’s work. Please remember to dress appropriately for this solemn visit.
- For a beautiful scenic view of the entire city, Mount Kigali offers it all. This mountain is where Kigali got its name, and from the top, you can see the Nyabarongo River as well as breathtaking views of the Southern Province.
- On our way to Biryogo Car-Free Street, we’ll stop to admire Kigali’s vibrant mural street, showcasing stunning local artwork, and visit the Nyamirambo Women’s Center to learn about community empowerment initiatives. In Biryogo, we’ll take a leisurely walk through the lively, car-free zone, soaking in the atmosphere of bustling cafés and street vendors.
