ITINERARY

• Departure at 07:00 from your Accommodation in Casablanca heading to Fes taking the motorway for a comfort driving it takes about 3 hours drive a short break after half drive. then continue to Fes once you get there you be met by your Tour guide and enjoy the Tour of Fes.
• first visit will be the impressive Royal palace of the King of Morocco in the city of Fez. Its original foundation dates back to the foundation of Fes el-Jdid (New Fez), the royal citadel of the Marinid dynasty, in 1276 CE. Most of the palace today dates from the Alaouite era (17th-20th centuries). The vast grounds are home to multiple private structures, patios, and gardens, but historically also included administrative offices and government tribunals. Today, the most publicly visible parts of the palace are its main entrances at the Old Mechouar (to the northeast) and the highly ornate 20th-century gates at Place des Alaouites, near the Mellah (to the southwest). enjoy the the beautiful Moroccan architecture and have pictures with the palace and garden.
• visit the North tower is a fort,It was first established in 1582 by the Saadi dynasty, modeled after the Portuguese forts in the 16th century. It is among the largest defense structures around the city of Fez and one of the few to incorporate European-style changes in military architecture in the gunpowder age. Today, the fort is open to public as the Museum of Arms. enjoy the panoramic view of the entire city from this tower.
• visit Quaraouiyine university. It was founded as a mosque by Fatima al-Fihri in 857–859 and subsequently became one of the leading spiritual and educational centers of the Islamic Golden Age. It was incorporated into Morocco's modern state university system in 1963 and officially renamed "University of Al Quaraouiyine" two years later. The mosque building itself is also a significant complex of historical Moroccan and Islamic architecture that features elements from many different periods of Moroccan history.
• visit Chouara Tannery is one of the three tanneries in the city. It is the largest tannery in the city and one of the oldest. It is located in the oldest medina quarter of the city, along the Oued Fes. Since the inception of the city, the tanning industry has been continually operating in the same fashion as it did in the early centuries. Today, the tanning industry in the city is considered one of the main tourist attractions. The tanneries are packed with the round stone vessels filled with dye or white liquids for softening the hides. The leather goods produced in the tanneries are exported around the world. you can take photos for the people who working there in pool cleaning the leather.
• visit the beautiful Madrasa Bou Inania was built in 1350–55 CE by Abu Inan Faris. It is the only madrasa in Morocco which also functioned as a congregational mosque. It is widely acknowledged as a high point of Marinid architecture and of historic Moroccan architecture generally.
• explore Fez Medina with your knowledgeable guide, Fez which was considered Mecca of the west and Athena of Africa. It is the biggest city of the country after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1 million. This city is a former capital and one of the country’s four imperial cities. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fez el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in the world is located; The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating nowadays. you will discover the narrow street of the old town with your Tour guide.
