- The former slave castle at Cape Coast built in 1555 is a UNESCO World Heritage site commemorating a sad history inflicted on Africa...you will be exposed to the activities of the slave trade era and the effects it had on our culture, nations, and humanity as a whole. Those of the African Diaspora may request a 'Door of Return' ceremony (extra fee).
