ITINERARY
- You are free to choose the departure time for the Paradise Valley excursion: either at 8:00 AM or 2:00 PM. Located about 60 km northeast of Agadir, Paradise Valley is reached by a scenic route offering 60 kilometers of enchanting landscapes — mountains, contrasting colors, and a variety of trees including argan, almond, palm, and olive. Along the way, you'll pass through the impressive gorges of the Oued Tamzargoute. Upon arrival, you'll discover a place that truly lives up to its name — a hidden paradise on earth, nestled in a lush palm grove and surrounded by argan trees. During this memorable excursion, you'll explore the valley and have the opportunity to swim in the natural pools of the river. The trip concludes with your return to Agadir.
- Agadir Oufella, also known as the Kasbah of Agadir, is a historic fortress perched atop a hill 236 meters above sea level, overlooking the city of Agadir and its port. Built in the 16th century by the Saadian Sultan Mohammed ech-Cheikh to monitor Portuguese settlements along the coast, it played a strategic role in the region's defense. The name "Agadir Oufella" translates to "the upper fortress" in Amazigh.
- Aourir, often nicknamed the “Banana Village”, is a small rural town located about 12 km north of Agadir in the Souss-Massa region. The name comes from the many banana plantations that line the main road and the banks of the Tamraght River. According to local legend, musician Jimi Hendrix helped popularize this nickname during a visit in the 1960s. The village is known for its laid-back, authentic atmosphere, offering a peaceful contrast to the bustle of Agadir. Every Wednesday, the weekly souk draws locals from the surrounding areas to shop for fresh produce — especially bananas — and enjoy the lively ambiance.
- Argan oil cooperatives in Morocco are community-based organisations, predominantly run by Amazigh-speaking Berber women, especially in regions like Agadir, Essaouira, and Taroudant. These cooperatives play a crucial role in producing argan oil, a product highly valued for its culinary and cosmetic applications
