- Beylerbeyi Palace is an Imperial Ottoman summer residence built in the 1860s, located right near the Bosphorus Bridge. The palace looks its most attractive from the Bosphorus, from where its two bathing pavilions, one for the harem (women's only) and the other for the selamlik (men's only), can best be seen. With its marble exterior facade and mixture of European and Ottoman baroque interior decorations; curtains carpets furniture and chandeliers it is a reminder of the formidable Ottoman Empire.The tour guide will provide you with an explanative tour in the corridors, saloons, the HAREM and the administrative halls.
