ITINERARY

• The Red Tour typically begins with a visit to Goreme Panorama View. This vantage point provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the unique rock formations and fairy chimneys that define the Cappadocian landscape. As the sun rises or sets, the colors of the rock formations transform, creating a surreal and magical atmosphere.
• Uçhisar Castle, a prominent landmark in Cappadocia, is the next stop on the Red Tour. Carved into the natural rock, this ancient fortress offers not only a historical journey but also a spectacular view of the surrounding valleys and the volcanic landscapes. Climbing to the top allows visitors to marvel at the intricate network of pigeon houses and witness the vastness of Cappadocia from a unique perspective. Note: lunch will be done in Uchisar. Lunch timing will be 1 hour 30 minutes.
• The tour then leads to Paşabağ, home to the famous Fairy Chimneys. These unique rock formations, shaped by centuries of wind and water erosion, resemble mushrooms with their distinct caps. The area is not only a geological wonder but also hosts the Paşabağ Open Air Museum, where visitors can explore ancient cave dwellings and gain insights into the region's rich history.
• Zelve, another highlight of the Red Tour, is an abandoned cave village that once housed a thriving community. The Open-Air Museum in Zelve showcases well-preserved rock-cut churches, houses, and communal spaces, offering a glimpse into the daily life of the people who once called this place home. The site is a testament to the unique cultural and architectural heritage of Cappadocia.
• Imagination Valley, also known as Devrent, is a surreal landscape where nature has carved rock formations that resemble various animals and shapes. Visitors are encouraged to let their imagination run wild as they explore this enchanting valley, discovering formations that may resemble camels, snakes, and even mythical creatures.
• The Red Tour concludes with a visit to Avanos, a town famous for its pottery and crafts. At the Avanos Pottery Shop, visitors can witness skilled artisans at work, shaping clay into exquisite pottery using traditional techniques. The town's location on the banks of the Kızılırmak River adds to its charm, providing a serene backdrop for the creation of these timeless pieces of art.
