- A visit to a traditional Turkish Bath begins with receiving tokens and instructions at the entrance. You’ll undress, wrap yourself in a peştamal (cotton body wrap), and secure your belongings in a locker. In the sıcaklık (hot area), you can relax on a heated marble platform or by the basins to induce perspiration. An attendant will provide an exfoliating scrub and a bubble wash. Afterward, you can relax further or wash yourself at the basins. Towels are provided to dry off, and you can unwind in the cooler area, possibly enjoying a drink.
