- After picking up our guests from the pier, our tour starts at a slow pace on the Dalyan River.The Dalyan River, located in southwestern Turkey, flows through the picturesque town of Dalyan and is famous for its natural beauty and rich history. It winds through a serene landscape of lush wetlands, ancient ruins, and stunning reed beds, connecting the tranquil Köyceğiz Lake to the Mediterranean Sea. The river is particularly known for its mud baths, the ancient Lycian rock tombs carved into cliffs, and its importance to local wildlife, including loggerhead sea turtles. It’s a peaceful and ecologically diverse area, attracting nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
- After the boat trip, which lasts about 40 minutes to 1 hour, we decamp for 30 minutes for pictures and historical information at a point where we can see the Kaunos rock tombs and the ancient city from the river. The Kaunos King Tombs are ancient rock-cut tombs located in the city of Kaunos, near Dalyan in southwestern Turkey. These tombs, carved into the cliffs above the Dalyan River, date back to the 4th century BCE and are believed to be the burial places of the local Lycian kings or noble families. Their distinctive facades feature impressive, monumental architectural designs resembling temples, with columns, friezes, and pediments. The tombs, standing as a testament to the ancient city's wealth and architectural prowess, offer a fascinating glimpse into the funerary practices of the Lycians and their reverence for the afterlife.
- After leaving the king tombs point, we arrive at the world-famous iztuzu beach by a short boat trip that will take 15 minutes.Our guests will have the opportunity to swim here for about 2 hours,take pictures and observe the carretta turtles if there is an opportunity.Iztuzu Beach, located near Dalyan in southwestern Turkey, is a stunning 4.5-kilometer stretch of golden sand renowned for its natural beauty and ecological significance. Surrounded by lush hills and the azure Mediterranean, the beach is a protected nesting site for the endangered loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta). Often called "Turtle Beach," it offers visitors the rare opportunity to witness these majestic creatures while maintaining a serene, unspoiled atmosphere. - After our Iztuzu beach break is completed, our return journey begins in the direction we came from, via the Dalyan River. On the return journey, you can see other ecological areas of the region by going from the right side.
