ITINERARY

• A fully-customized tour from Kusadasi to the Ancient City of Ephesus that’s tailored to your schedule. After a 25 minutes drive, we will first visit Ephesus, which witnessed the cultural traditions of Hellenistic, Roman and early Christian periods. You will stroll along the marble roads once roamed by toga-clothed Romans. You will see the most important artifacts such as detailed friezes to statues, terrace houses, fascinating Library of Celsus and spectacular theater. After Ephesus visit, your guide can suggest an itinerary or you can create your own. As entrance fees are at your own expense, you may visit sites such as House of Virgin Mary, Seven Sleepers, Isa bey Mosque, Sirince Village, Selcuk Museum, Basilica of St. John and Artemis Temple. You can also stop by a local restaurant for lunch at your own expense. Since this tour is designed just for you, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the things that interest you most, with all transport in a climate-controlled minivan.
• A Catholic shrine located on Mt. Koressos, in the vicinity of Ephesus. The house was discovered in the 19th century by following the descriptions in the reported visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774–1824), a Roman Catholic nun and visionary, which were published as a book by Clemens Brentano after her death. While the Catholic Church has never pronounced in favor or against the authenticity of the house, the site has nevertheless received a steady flow of pilgrimage since its discovery. It is also an interesting visit site for Turkish tourists as in Islam there is great respect for Mother Mary.
• A Greek temple dedicated to an ancient, local form of the goddess Artemis (associated with Diana, a Roman goddess). Only foundations and fragments of the last temple remain at the site.
