• Meander Travel will meet you at Kusadasi Cruise Port.
• Following our meeting at the port, depart for Ephesus.
• The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos Mountains as the final resting place of the Virgin Mary. A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered.
• It is believed that the Evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill.
• The citadel is located on the highest point of the Ayasuluk Hill, to the north of the Church of Saint John.
• The temple of Artemision is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Today one can only see the ruins of the foundations of this marvelous construction of the Hellenistic Age, entirely made of marble and full of sculptured columns' capitals and shafts.
• Enter the through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Grand Theater. The Theater had seating for 25,000, was the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.
• The Terrace Houses, also called as "the houses of rich", Terrace Houses located in a newly excavated area across from Hadrian's Temple, this section of Ephesus is a very special area inside the site. The wealthy and important people of Ephesus used these houses which are finely decorated with mosaics and frescoes giving a true impression of the ancient lifestyle. These houses are the finest examples of Roman domestic life in the world.
