ITINERARY
- You will be picked up from your hotel between 4:00 and 5:30 am in an air-conditioned bus and transferred to Cairo Airport for your morning flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor at around 7:00 am (subject to the flight schedule), you will meet your guide for an unforgettable day of exploration.
- Begin your tour on the West Bank, known as the "City of the Dead," where the Ancient Egyptians built their funerary complexes. Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the ancient cemetery of the New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden between two limestone hills in Gurna, the Valley of the Kings holds 63 registered tombs, with three more recently discovered.
- Next, visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, a unique mortuary temple built into the cliff face in a terrace formation. Learn about Hatshepsut, the famous female pharaoh who defied tradition by wearing a false beard to legitimize her rule.
- You'll then visit the Colossi of Memnon, the impressive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
- Afterward, cross the Nile to the East Bank for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Your final stops are the Karnak Temples, the largest ancient temple complex in Egypt, where you can feel the sacred energies of Ancient Egypt, and the Luxor Temple, known as the "Temple of the Gods."
- After a day filled with history and wonder, return to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival around 7:00 pm (subject to the flight schedule), you'll be transferred back to your hotel.
