ITINERARY
- We will pick you up from the hotel early in the morning and officially start our Pamukkale Hierapolis excursion.
- After meeting your professional tour guide, your trip will start to Pamukkale, on the Unesco World Heritage List. We’ll first arrive to Korkuteli, a district of Antalya. Take a coffee break (extra) in Korkuteli before visiting the cascading snow-white terraced cliffs of this mysterious cotton palace.
- We will start by visiting Hierapolis, a Roman city of ancient eras, standing well-preserved at the top of Pamukkale Mountain. Hierapolis, or "holy city", was an ancient Greco-Roman city in Phrygia, located on top of hot springs in Southwest Anatolia. This ancient city, which was famous for its baths in historical times, is a civilization that has hosted many people who want to treat themselves. We will also visit the Roman Amphitheater, an authentic historical center, the St Philippe Basilica, and the Necropolis.
- The Cleopatra’s Pool you’ll find among the ruins of Hierapolis has hot spring waters with special healing powers. The 36 degrees Celsius water is rich in minerals that help heal skin problems, cardiovascular diseases, stomach problems and rheumatism. The shape of the today’s pool has been formed by an earthquake that took place during the 7th century AD.
- This natural beauty, which means "Cotton Castle" in Turkish, is one of the must-see places in Turkey with its fantastic view and travertines, which are full of thermal water. Visit the Cotton Palace, Roman theater, Apollo temple, and more while learning about the history from your guide.
- We will drop off our passengers at the final destination in Kusadasi, which they will share with us a day before the tour.
