ITINERARY
- Your tour starts with hotel pick up at 9am, your guide will take first to visit the monastery of Saint Simon the Tanner which is located inside the mountain. The monastery consists of seven churches; all of them are carved inside the mountain. Your guide will give you an introduction about the Christianity of Egypt. How Christianity started in Egypt and what is the meaning of Coptic orthodox church in Egypt. Your guide will explain how they carved the church, how was El Mokattam Mountain was moved from the north of Cairo to the centre, enjoy some free time inside the church. You will also get the chance to get some great photos from the mountain.
