ITINERARY
- Kekova Bay is the ‘hidden jewel’ of the Mediterranean. Also intriguing to the eye and mind, are the numerous, elevated, beautiful stone tombs, which embody the ancestor cult of the ancient Lycian State.
- Our next adventure is a pilgrimage tour to the Basilica of St. Nicholas, in nearby Demre, the home city of “Father Christmas!” The Church is greatly reverred in Orthodox Christianity and many Icons are available in local shops.
- The story of Myra, which was the capital of Lycia civilization for a period, begins with the grave reliefs, and ends in the sea with the Port of Andriake. This is also known as the place where Goddess Kybele was Artemis.
