ITINERARY
- Goreme Open Air Museum: Once the Monastery settlement of the first Christians in Cappadocia, this spot is where Christianity blossomed and spread out to the World. Some cave Churches which are displaying awesome frescoes can be seen in this Open Air Museum as well as Kitchen and Dining rooms
- Visit the famous Pigeon Valley: Over the course of the years, many dovecotes were carved in the cliff-faces of the valley. These are structures with large frontal surfaces. Inside, there are many niches for local birds to roost in. The excrement from the nests in these dovecotes was mainly used as manure.
- Visit the 3 beauties of Cappadocia: Three fairy-chimney formations (known as the three beauties), overlooking the rolling countryside just outside of town, are Urgup's best-known sign. Well suited place for taking amazing photos on sunset
- Kaymakli Underground City, one of the many Underground cities which early Christians have used as shelters to hide from their enemies. The city features a maze of tunnels and rooms carved eight levels deep into the earth, though only four are open to the public.
- These chimneys that stand about 60 - 70 feet tall look very amazing. The story of the chimneys is that when the land was eroded due to climatic conditions the softer part which formed the base and partial height of these chimneys fell to rumbles; while the topmost layer was too hard to be affected by erosion. Therefore these mushroom look-alike structures stand as attractions in Goreme today.
