ITINERARY
- You will get to tour a palace that served as the headquarters for Ottoman sultans in the 15th and 16th century.
- Here you will get to look at great Byzantine mosaics that date back to the Great Palace of Constantinople.
- You will get the opportunity to see a late 13th century palace built as part of Constantinople.
- In the afternoon you will walk the narrow streets of Balat where a greek orthodox patriarchal church, the oldest synagogue in the city, and some old ottoman mosques are located almost next to each other. This is cultural heritage area as announced by UNESCO which symbolizes the coexistence of muslim, christian, and jewish communities in our city throughout history.
