- Dolmabahçe Palace, located on the European shore of the Bosphorus in Istanbul, was the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire in the 19th century. Built between 1843 and 1856 by Sultan Abdülmecid I, it blends Ottoman, Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical architectural styles. The palace features a grand crystal staircase, an opulent ceremonial hall, and the world’s largest Bohemian crystal chandelier. It also served as the residence of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during his final years. Today, Dolmabahçe Palace is a museum open to visitors, showcasing the splendor of the late Ottoman period. A live guided tour will be provided at Dolmabahçe Palace. There will be free time, a photo break, and a tea/coffee break.
